SSgt Zachary D. King
My name is SSgt Zachary D. King, I am the Springfield, Illinois Air force recruiter. I am based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. I joined the Air Force August 28, 2012 and prior to becoming a recruiter I worked as a Fuels apprentice refueling the forces fleet. I enjoy going to the gym, outdoor activities, playing sports, and working outside. Overall, what I like about the Air Force, is how we are positioned to get out of our comfort zones by teaching us a variety of knowledge that we didnít know we needed or experiences we didnít know we could overcome. The Air force has taught me that getting out of your comfort zone will only lead you to become successful and become more of a well-rounded individual. I could never imagine how much Iíve learned by just enlisting or experiencing the real world without the Air Force there to support me. Coming from a small town just graduating high-school and working at a garage door business to being an Active duty Air Force recruiter/Airman will always be a great accomplishment of mine and I plan to continue this journey and hit higher mile-stones.

22 MAY 2012 Electrical Systems Working out, Cards and Collectibles Love the fact that it exposes me to all sorts of opportunities and allowed me to grow as an individual far beyond what I thought I was capable of. It gave me the chance to shine and be great. It gave me the chance to be around some great people and learn from them so that I can be a better follower and leader.
